I’d love to host my child’s birthday party at Munch – what are my options?
Munch is the perfect location for your Childs birthday, your Birthday, or a special family event. We offer you the best of our passion in a striking modern setting. We have created a selection of set menus sure to satisfy the most discerning palates – and we’ll gladly customize to suit your tastes. Be it a party of fifteen or seventy please contact our GM for further information. Complete venue Hire is an option.

Alice in Wonderland Tea Party
Get out the frilly dresses and hats and get ready for a Mad Hatters Tea Party. Don’t be late set your clocks!!! It's time for tea and your invited! Come celebrate on our garden patio or inside in our play oasis. The table will be decorated for a birthday prince or princess and an afternoon you’ll never forget awaits you! Party includes a chess full of dress-up including Cheshire Cat Masks!! We provide a special 'Tea Party' menu served upon our finest china. Menu includes delicious cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches, home-made lemonade, queen of Hearts tarts, delightful cupcakes to decorate and more.
Pirates Ahoy Party
Yo, Ho Ho! Little pirates have found their booty with a Munch Pirate Party.
Weigh Anchor and gather yer lads and lassies in thee Munch for some Shiver me Timbers, Pirate fun. Best of all thee memories whilst last long after thee Pirate Cupcakes are gone, Arr! Come loot our ship and walk the plank with a Treasure Hunt fit for any little scallywag!! Party includes a treasure hunt and a chest full of dress-up booty! Pirate menu includes fishy crackers, pirate booty (veggie, cheese and caramel), pirate punch and cupcakes to decorate and more.
Teddy Bear Picnic Party…its picnic time for teddy bears!
If you go out in the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise. If you go out in the woods today, you'd better go in disguise. For every bear that ever there was, will gather there for certain, because, today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic. Come celebrate on our garden patio or in our play oasis teddy bear style with your little bear cubs. Pack your favorite bears and picnic at Munch with your friends and family. Party includes a bear hunt and fun in the bubbles!!
The Teddy Bear Picnic menu is full of wonderful treats which include of course some honey!, home-made lemonade, variety of sandwiches, magic veggie forest, Teddy bread and teddy bear cookies to decorate.
This party is great for younger children.

Candy Bar We can host a colorful sweet and delicious candy bar to complete the festivities!! The Candy bar is a fun, memorable and inexpensive alternative to traditional loot bags at the end of your party. Cost $6 per person

Who are the brilliant minds behind Munch?
Originally from the UK, parents Rachel and Ross Dempster found themselves constantly searching for comfortable places to eat out with their children Betsey and Will. A venue with both food they’d actually enjoy as adults and a welcoming atmosphere for kids? Good luck! The couple decided the only solution was to create one themselves…and Babyeats Café was born! Now, with extensive renovations thanks to Ross’ extensive film industry background as a designer and art director – and the creation of delectable full menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner -- Babyeats has blossomed into the fantastic new Munch Family Restaurant as it is today.
Tell me more about this amazing award-winning chef you keep referring to!
Amazing indeed! Mook Sutton is the man behind the menus. Mook was previously head chef at Zinc and Sarkis in Toronto (both rated 3 1/2 stars by Toronto Life Magazine under his watch). Mook’s illustrious Vancouver resume includes Chambar, Crave, The Distillery, Fraiche, and Lucy Mae Brown. Excited yet? We are!
I’m in love with your play space! Are there fees to play if we drop in outside of meal times?
We love it too! Which is why playtime at Munch is always FREE! We simply ask that since we are a restaurant, during mid-morning and afternoon drop-ins you remember to purchase at least a small coffee. Which, by the way, is delicious.
Can I bring baby food and snacks into the play space?
We have all the yummy food you’ll need right at your fingertips! Of course we’ll be happy to help warm up bottles, but please do not bring outside food into the space. If your child has special dietary requirements please speak with a staff member – we understand that there are special circumstances to every situation.
What are the rules in the play space?
We like to keep it simple:
- Your children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
- No outside food or drinks unless your child has special dietary requirements (it’s a health and safety issue!)
- Please remove footwear (cubbies are provided)
- Please be aware that while we make every effort to make the play space a safe environment, Munch Family Restaurant can not accept liability for injury caused during use of the play space and area.
Is it difficult to find parking?
Parking at Munch is easy as pie (and free!). Plus, you can avoid those pesky raindrops! Simply park underground from the entrance off Mountain Highway at Ross Road. Catch the elevator up to the main level, turn left and voila! There we are. Now you can eat pie.

We love to support schools, sports groups and non-profit organizations in educational, creative and community endeavors! If your child’s group is looking for sponsorship, please send an email to hello AT munchmunch.ca with an outline of the sponsorship request. Please let us know what participation is requested, important dates and deadlines, and we'll see if we can help!
Will there ever be more Munch locations?
